My name is Haley Smith, and I am a professional off-road cyclist, Tokyo 2020NE Olympian, Commonwealth Games and World Cup Bronze Medallist, and mental health advocate. Driven by a desire to push my personal limits and to improve both my own and my sport's relationship with mental health, I'm aiming to return to the Olympics in Paris 2024 for redemption. Along the way, I hope to inspire others to dream big and be active outdoors, and to change the way we conceptualize mental and physical health.
As a Kinesiology graduate, current Master's of Sport Psychology student, and anorexia survivor, I combine my unique sport, life, and educational experience to connect with people and organizations on a deep level. When not riding or studying, you can find me speaking in schools or at corporate seminars, in the kitchen, or spending time with loved ones.Contact me
You can follow my racing, training, and globetrotting right here on this website. I'll post blog updates about races and other happenings, share photo galleries, and keep you all involved in my professional cycling career.VIEW MY BLOG
The quest for an Olympic spot is far from a solo mission. My cycling career depends on partnerships with like-minded companies and individuals - and these partnerships tend to develop into mutually rewarding and fulfilling relationships. If you are interested in joining me on my quest for Paris - or just in having a coffee to get to know each other - please contact me!
In an effort to bring the concept of mindfulness to more people - and thus help people manage both everyday and clinical levels of anxiety - I created my very own mindfulness colouring book. Borne out of my search for mindfulness and designed to help you destress in an unpretentious way, this book offers colouring pages, journaling pages, recipes, and some of my favourite inspirational messages. If you are interested in purchasing a copy, you can do so online here or by contacting me directly. Each purchase goes towards funding my racing career and allowing me to continue volunteering my time for mental health causes. I hope this book will help you find some daily moments of relaxation!
